How do I make money for myself and conservative causes at the same time?

Using the tried and true method of sell and give, supplementing your income and fund raising is easy at ConservaBid. Sellers can list items for free, with up to two images, and if they wish, donate part or all of the final sale price of a successful transaction to the conservative candidate or group of their choice. It's that simple.

To increase traffic to a listing, sellers can opt to add extra features at additional low fees (or in our case, donations to the running of the site).

Stores are also available for set up by individuals or organizations. The most basic, and free, level option allows ten items.

Who can sell or buy?

Adults 18 and older interested in advancing conservatism. Keep in mind, that according to US law, only US citizens, or immigrants with green cards, of at least 18 years old, may donate to political organizations that influence US local, state, or federal elections. All members of ConservaBid should remember to follow those guidelines when giving to their cause.

What does it cost to sell on ConservaBid?

It costs nothing to list an item for sale. If you choose additional features to highlight your item, set up a high level store, or advertise with us, your account will show a suggested donation (termed fees) for those features. That amount will be used for the running of the site. Therefore, it is up to you whether to list as is or choose more options.

ConservaBid may invoice sellers monthly with a site donation reminder if there is a balance of $5 or more in their account, and giving may be done through Paypal using a credit card or bank account.

What are the increments for bidding?

Sellers may set a custom increment, but below is the standard for the site.

Is this someone's personal business?

ConservaBid is a donation funded service of AnnieOakley.org; therefore, its sole purpose is to help like minded candidates and organizations. It is not a PAC or government registered site.

No one is forced to donate to ConservaBid or other cause. Members join the site of their own free will and with the understanding that the buying and selling process may result in donations being made.

Please note that AnnieOakley.org and ConservaBid.com are not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee. Members should remember that when giving to their cause, donations made to political PACs and their candidates are not deductible for income tax purposes.

Are you hiring?

Currently, the site is being maintained by an all volunteer staff. With extended growth, we hope to offer job opportunities in the future. We will post any open positions when they become available.

Why is there a tiny British flag icon on the page?

The icon serves notice that the site is currently being viewed in English. Our cousins across the big pond were the software developers.

What items are and are not allowed?

Except for the following guidelines, anything can be put on the auction block or sold in an ad.

For your legal protection, please make sure that anything you sell is not under any kind of recall. You can check with consumer safety organizations and the manufacturer to verify your item's status. ConservaBid is not responsible for any consequences that may result from items being sold or bought on the site, whether safety or legally related.

Items that require licensing or legal transfers should be yours to sell free and clear of any liens or claims.

As pro-"bear arms" as we are, unfortunately we are not allowed to facilitate firearm and ammunition sales. U.S. laws require gun transfers to be made through licensed gun dealers. Parts may be sold.

And since we are a pro-family site, absolutely no pornographic materials or "escort" services are allowed. ConservaBid is not a dating site.

Additional items include, but are not limited to: medicines, illegal drugs, and alcoholic beverages.

Remember! As any internet savvy person knows, not everyone you meet on the internet can be trusted. Be careful in your dealings to avoid scams, and never meet anyone for a transaction in person unless it is in a public place and for extra security, bring a friend along.

Does ConservaBid collect taxes or file any tax reports for users?

No. All users are responsible for their own taxes and filing. If you need sales tax enabled for your account, please send us a note through the contact form. Be sure to include your user name, tax ID, and state sales tax needed.

Do you allow advertising banners?

Yes. Upon approval, a banner may be posted on a specific category page, the home page, or site wide. Please contact us for suggested donations for this service.

If I am a conservative candidate or representative for a group, may I sell our branded products?

Of course. This site is for you after all. You may be interested in opening a storefront to facilitate your products.
